Client families using the services of the Heart of England Co-operative Society’s Funeral Division to give their loved ones the send off they deserve have raised a fantastic £ 42,000 for their favourite charities and worthy causes over the past 15 months.

The Myton Hospices, Age UK, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, British Red Cross and Cancer Research UK are among the most recent of the many charities to benefit from client families who have taken advantage of the Society’s Memorialisation website.

Launched in 2014 the website, which also works in partnership with Just Giving, is an online service for grieving families and friends across the UK

In three years client families of The Heart of England Co-operative Society, which operates a network of 13 funeral homes across Coventry, Warwickshire, south Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, under The Co-operative brand, have helped raised over £101,000 for a wide variety of local and national charities.

Darryl Smith, General Manager of the Society’s Funeral Division, said: “This website gives our client families the chance to remember their loved ones in the most charitable of ways, collectively benefiting many thousands of people along the way.

“We are delighted to be able to give our client families the perfect platform to pay tribute to their loved ones as well as helping to make a huge difference to people around them.”

The Society operates a network of 13 funeral homes across Coventry, Warwickshire, south Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
