Guide Dogs

Heart of England Co-operative employees chose Guide Dogs as their corporate charity to support in 2016 and 2017.

Guide Dogs helps to improve the lives of thousands of blind and partially sighted in the UK. During the two years
the Society were delighted to raise £50,000 for Guide Dogs.

Myton Hospice

Heart of England Co-operative employees chose Myton Hospices as their corporate charity to support in 2014 and 2015.

Myton Hospices care for almost 4,000 people through its patient and family support service, available at its hospices in Warwick, Rugby and Coventry and through its Myton at Home service. Community support and donations are vital to keep their services ongoing.

Air Ambulance

The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was the Society’s first nominated charity chosen in 2012 and was also supported in 2013.

Launched in 2003, WNAA covers all kinds of emergency incidents – from motorway pile-ups to horse-riding accidents. With the number and nature of incidents wide and varied, no two days are ever the same. With an average response time of six minutes the WNAA service also operates a fast response car which is regularly used to provide emergency treatment during out-of-flying-hours.

Whereas some services can take up to two minutes to warm up and shut down WNAA can be airborne within 45 seconds of an emergency call-out.The Society raised nearly £46,000 for this worthwhile local cause.
